the water is now crystal clear. It has never cleared up this fast. Last weekend when I got the pump running it was green. Now I can see clear to the bottom.

The pond is just a little over 1,000 gallons. I have a home made bio filter which is a 55 gallon drum with bio-balls and filter media. I also have a filter fountain in the lower side once I move the rest of the fish outside and I have rocks set up that the water runs over which allow good bacteria to grow. Once the weather gets nice I put Watercress in the one trough and the water runs through it which also cleans the water. It's been all trial and error to see what works best. This is the 3rd year with my homemade filter and that works wonderful.

Thanks Devs. I have 3 Oranda's going out, 1 Lionhead, 1 Ryunkin and all of the Shubunkin/Comet babies left from last year once the weather gets nice enough. I'll have to get some current pictures. None of the Koi/Comets/Shubunkins that I left outside all winter died which is good but some of the Koi have turned into monsters. I can't believe how huge they are getting.
