ok so i have a biube. I have 2 fish. I have had one for about 2 months now and i just recently got a new one. So i put my new one in the tank and he is a little confused and not comfortable or w/e. Pefectly normal he doesnt swim a whole lot but is ok. So a few days pass and hes alrght my old fish and him are interacting just fine. They spend most of their time trying to eat bubbles, but w/e. Recently my newest fish has been just sitting at the bottom like straight up and down, and if you tap on the clear ceramic window he starts to move but then in a little he will do the same thing. Now yesterday he was floating on top belly up. I got scared and taped on the window again and he stared to move. He did that about 3 more times and now today he has wedged himself between this round thing i put at the bottom (well not wedged he is just under it). He is alive you can see him breathing and idk any thing about fish what could be wrong

he tends to be upside down like when he wedged himself under the round thingy he is upside down. IDK i researched whats best for a fish when i first got them and there was stuff on swim blatters or somthen. I just suspect this because last night when he would swim down he would jsut float up right away.

one more note my other fish is just fine and biubes are suppsoe to be some of the best filters so idk i wouldnt think its any thing in the water my water is crystal clear.

What are your water params (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH in your tank, pH from your tap) What size is your tank??

hmmm idk i have nothing to test them i will have to order some stuff im just confused because he was perefect a couple days ago and my other fish is just fine. Another note biubes are suppose to have some of the best filters and in my opinion that is correct because that is the cleanest fish tank water i have ever seen.
sandy
You cant see ammonia, nitrites and bacteria so you dont know without testing how good or bad it is.
Is the fish head or tail standing as both indicate poisoning from either ammonia or nitrites.
Biubes, though a bit better than biorbs are still not big enough to support goldfish that require ten times filtration.
How many gallons/litres does it hold? how often are you doing water changes?
keabler
it is a 9 gallon tank
should i just add some more chemical remover
keabler
i also have a super filter (an anti alge filter) they r supposidly the best filters for the biubs . Wouldnt my other fish have amonia poising too?

Barring any testing of your parameters, the only advice I can give is doing a massive waterchange and continuing to do them daily until you see some improvement. As Sandy says, it sounds water related - these are the symptoms fish show when stressed from poor water quality.

No to adding more chemical remover (unless it's Prime?). The only thing that may help them now is clean water and lots of it.

Hopefully this helps smile.gif

um how long does my fish have because it might be untill the weekend before i get testing stuff should i just put him in a diffrent tank and change the water alot untill then or what
JenW
Yes, I would. Anywhere where the water is fresh and able to be changed daily until you get test kits smile.gif

I would perform the waterchanges in the tank he's currently in. Not having any idea of your tank params I would try 50% changes daily until you can get your water tested.

By adding the new fish you may have overloaded your bioload & the other fish may also start to show symptoms.

Unfortunately we can't see the ammonia, nitrite & nitrate in teh water - usually by the time the water looks bad - it is truly terrible!

I hope this helps!
