My 2 goldies died...now I'm thinking with a 10 gallon tank, maybe getting guppies is a better idea. Anyone know if they are easier to care for? Any thoughts? TIA

From what I've heard they are easy to care for and they reproduce very quickly. A female can have multiple pregnancys from a single mating so you don't even need a male to get a couple batches of babies. They do need warmer temps than goldies so a heater is a must, they don't need as much filtration as goldies do either. Female guppies can also get quite large, the males tend to stay smaller. Thats about all I know about guppies though wink.gif

guppies are great!!
one of my tanks is guppie-only, and they are all gupps that i have raised myself smile.gif
they are very hardy little things. As nichjake mentioned, they do like warmer temps that goldies, but not as warm as tropicals... i keep mine at about 21degC, and they do great smile.gif
