thanks for all your help
daryl
I am going to move this to the plant section. I know it says "goldfish plants" but there are some real plant experts in there, and they will be happy to help you!

It sounds like it will be a really pretty tank when it is all planted. smile.gif

I'd recommend CO2 for a heavily planted tank. Plants need carbon (dioxide) like we need air. You can use organic liquid carbon as a substitute, like Seachem's Flourish Excel, but it's just not the same as the fresh pure gas.

Besides, being a car buff I assume you would enjoy all the technical aspects of running a CO2 system - regulators, valves, flow rates! wink.gif

PS. 90 plants is a *lot* of plants!

Careful with the dwarf gouramis...some will mow down plants like candy.

i dont mind if they eat or use the plants as nests as thats what they do in the wild so if they do then i will just buy more wink.gif

and could some one please tell me some good kits as i have never really looked far into a co2 system and if any one has any good info on them that would be grate

thanks wink.gif

Perrier is mineral water with carbon dioxide in it to make it bubble.

Actually, technically not far off the mark of the type of water planted tank enthusiasts aim for!

I was thinking carbonated water, but I didn't make the connection.
Thanks!
