ok, i know you can just rinse off your filter cartiridge but sooner or later you have to replace it right? well i think mine is ready to be replaced ive had it like two or three months and have rinsed it off but think its time to get another one, well getting a new one dont that mess up the cycle of the tank where you have to start all over or what?

It depends on the kind of filter... some filters like the aquaclear filters allow you to replace part of the media, so you don't throw away all your biofilm at the same time. What filter do you have? Can you put the new cartridge in and leave the old one inside for some time? You will notice an ammonia spike when you change the cartridge, there will still be some ammonia removal from the bacteria in the walls of the tank and all other surfaces.

my filter come with a ten gal. kit i got from nnnnnn, so its probably a cheap one, i plan on buying a better one soon but for now i am stuck with that one , theres no room to stick any more in there so do i have to cycle all over again?

Can you put the old filter cartridge in an old nylon stocking and hang it off the side of the tank for a few days? Then replace it with a new cartridge in the filter. In a couple of days, you can pull the old cartridge/stocking out and throw it away.
