I got a betta a couple of days ago. I thought I would let him get used to his new home before subjecting him to the camera. He is a comb tail and is red and teal. I just can't think of a name that suits him yet. Maybe after looking at the pics you guys can help me name him. This is my first betta and I just love him.

Ruby is a great name! I had actually thought of using it, but wasn't sure about naming a boy betta Ruby. Oh well, with as good as he has it in his 5 gallon tank I think he will forgive me. Ruby it is!

Hi Black Oranda. Remember about a week and a half ago when I posted all those questions about bettas? I said I wanted to get a betta but wasn't going to get one until I knew more about them. I had to get the 5 gallon tank setup and running before getting the betta. The tank ran for about a week before I got the betta 3 days ago. I love him. They are great fish.

Im planing on getting 2 other ones and put them in
2 gallon jars (not together) i think the
next color will be bleu ... or some metalic color

I really like the blue ones too. I had a hard time deciding between the one I got and the blue ones. I hope you get some so you can post some pics. I would love to see them.

I'm glad your little guy got a name. I would have named him "RED BEARD!" All that fin is so vibrant, so red, that's exactly what he reminded me of. Hehehe. Maybe I'll get one when the boyfriend goes to see and can't stop me! LOL!
