I have a question...

I have three fish, one Fantail, one moor and one pompom. The Moor and the Pompom seem to be very happy, healthy fish but I've noticed recently that the Fantail is having trouble swimming. The two other fish can just sort of float comfortably in mid-tank without moving their fins around, but the fantail has to struggle sooo hard to get anywhere, otherwise it just floats right up to the surface of the water. I feel so terrible because the Fantail just has to always be swimming otherwise she can't go anywhere but float to the top of the tank. sad.gif Is the Fantail just not a strong swimmer? Besides this she seems absolutely fine, and eats just as much as the other two, but I just dont want it to be so hard for her to swim.

Anyone know whats going on here? blink.gif

sounds like something's wrong w/ the swim bladder. you should post your water params and tank info in the diagnosis section...somewhere there could probably help you out more!

my blackie sometimes starts floating to the top, this is always fixed with some peas. he get's constipated so easily. dry.gif you could try feeding your fantail some deshelled peas
