Can someone provide a picture of Goldie eggs(preferably from a Common)since my father found what might be GF eggs in the filter? They are not snail eggs as the only kind of snail I raise is Ramshorn.

Hi Bob-

See if this helps-I for some reason coulden't pull up eggs from a Common GF but this is more than likely what they look like.

They are definately Goldfish eggs, but is there any good way to tell if they are fertilized?

Well, you will be able to after a day or two. The unfertilized ones will turn opaque and cloudy, while the fertilized ones stay clear, and you start to see little black dots inside, most likely the fish's eyes....

I think two are dead(though two ARE alive)
Might be one, maybe two, unhatched eggs remaining.

You'll want to separate the fry from the bigger fish or they will probably eat the lil babies.

They are in their own bin.
What should they be fed?

Hikari First bites are my personal favorite, once I started feeding my common goldie fry that they really started growing fast. They can also eat a bit of the yolk from a hard boiled egg, just crumble it up in a little tank water a put just a drop or two in, it makes a really nasty mess if you put too much in. Heres a page of fry food

Soon the babies will be moving in with the snails.
They will get along, right?
(these are Ramshorn Snails and Common Goldfish)
