My new tank has two Penguin 330s and the flow coming out is extremely forceful...looks like a very strong current in the tank. Is there any way to adjust the flow on them so the current isn't so powerful?

My old style ones have a little lever that you can push down or raise up to regulate the flow. This causes a tremendous amount of noise, though, so I never do it.

You can block the flow with a well placed plant or rock, though. smile.gif

Ooohhh, where is the lever? I've got an older penquin 330 that doesn't seem to have as good of output as it should, perhaps it just needs adjusting wink.gif

I couldn't find a lever either. sad.gif

I tried blocking some of it with plants, but it didn't seem to help. I did read in the booklet that came with it that you could raise the intake tube if necessary at feeding time. Then I got to looking at the intake tube and it seems to have little grooves on it...I'm wondering if this is how you would regulate the speed of the flow by raising the intake tube using the grooves. When I have to perform a water change, I'm gonna check it out.

You are right - I am an idiot! blink.gif It is the old fashioned Emperors that have the lever - it is a horrid invention because it often gets pushed down a bit and then the filter makes horrible noise! It is unusable. The newer Emperors have a bypass built into the uptake tube to address this issue.

I am sorry...... sad.gif
