Just what the topic asks....I'm thinking of getting a 20g for my son's room - just in case we get Johnny a tank mate. Is the Penguin 350 too much?? I'm wondering if the 200 would not be enough.......I always like to get a little more filtration.
Ideas welcome!

I've got the old model p330 on my 20's and have had no current problem with any types of fish I've had. I wouldn't see any problem doing the 350, so I'd say go for it.

Yep. I agree. The recommendation for ten times turnover per hour is a minimum. More is better. Well, to an extent!

Silk plants can alwy be used to break up any currents that seem a little too swift.

i think it should be fine. the penguin350 doesnt cause alot of current to knock ur goldfish over.

I have a Peguin 350 on my 20 gal and have not had any problems.
I think it does a really good job on the 20 gal tank and really keeps it clean and clear. My fish have not had a problem with the current and I have had some smaller guys in there.

That will be a perfect fit for that aquarium. I have had a Penguin 350 for years that has moved from tank to tank as I upgraded and I have never had a problem with it. Best of luck.

Go For It! I have the 350 on my 30 gal. and another filter with it. I would think the penguin 350 would be perfect for the 20 gal.
