This coming spring or summer..I will be builting a big pond in my back yard..I gonna have 4 koi and 2 comet..Can I add batta in with them or is the batta gonna die in the pond??

If the koi and comets are large I would be afraid they would try to eat the Betta. My comets went after snails, so... blink.gif

In a couple of months the comets and kois will be 3 times as big as ur betta biggrin.gif most bettas will not grow past 2 inches long.

Koi & comet & betta in a pond = baaaaad idea

PS: I'd love to see a betta as big as a koi ohmy.gif he'll be one badass fish blink.gif

biggrin.gif yeah.gif Tell me about it..D_golem..That would be so Cool..I Will be the TOP DOG..hahah..If A batta do get as big as a koi..hehe..And that jux my Dream and fantasy..LOL...Anywase..Oh well..I guess my batta jux gonna be in my little 5 gallon all by him self..but..That better then getting bully around and ending up dying in that big ocean pond.. heartpump.gif

5 gallon for a betta is very good! wink.gif that's lots of space for him to swim around

IMO a betta could not be Kept in a pond with other goldfish. The goldfish would get extemely big compared to the betta and they would grow much faster than the betta.

Betta are beautiful fish. I currently have 2 male bettas and a female betta in seperate housing. biggrin.gif

You could get a 5 or 10 gallon tank and decorate it up and have one male betta in it..the betta would love it! It's nice to see them swimming around. Most of the time you only see male bettas in a way too small jar just lying there on the bottom and not moving around. Once you get them into bigger spaces it's amazing to see how lively they really are.
