I've had one.............pass away. cry3.gif Not even the one that managed to jump out and land on the counter turning a water change!
A beautiful red split tail fin............
What is this with Bettas........they are fine and then they just start getting more pale and more pale and lose their color and finally die?

At least this one was in a small tank alone; not a divided screened tank

Of course you never know an age when you get them from the LFS. I'd had this guy many months though now.......although I'd prefer to be able to say a couple of years.

But seriously......he just kept getting more pale in color and finally passed away tonight.

anyone know what this is? Or, what to do at the first symptoms????

I haven't had much luck with Betta's. That is what both of mine did. On the other hand I have known people who keep them in those vases with the plant and they have lived for what seemed like a long time. I have heard people say they don't know how their Betta's live - they never change the water or feed them. I guess I loved my to death! Thud.gif

I nearly got into an online argument with a Shar-pei lady.........it's exactly how she keeps her Betta, small vase, plant never feeds it that I know of.........been alive for two years like that now.

I don't get it. Thud.gif
