That's duckweed, and I think wolffia is one of the smaller varieties.

I feed used to duckweed to my fish, but ceased to do that cos it was kinda of a chore growing them. Now I feed them hornwort instead

but mine sure was smaller than duckweed, caz it's only 0.5-1.5mm and has no root at all.

Wolffia is a member of the duckweed family and I think it's the one famous TVR breeder Mr. Kashino from Japan use to feed his ranchus.

My goldfish LOVED duckweed. I never heard of this stuff before though. I bought some off of eBay for my pond. Turned into a tasty expensive snack for the goldies. lol. I would grow my own in another tank if I plan on giving it to them regularly.

They dont sell that anywhere here except for pond plant suppliers and that sort of thing.

Even in here, so hard to find. I still cant find one, ppl say it's not season for duckweed.

2-3 yrs ago there was direct sell to goldfish farm, I dun noe now.

it shoule be fairly easy to grow it though, dont you think? Maybe I will do that....hmm....
