Our pond cost a fair bit unfortunately. We opted for the river
bed theme. It is approximately 9metres long and 2.5 metres
wide. A pond at each end with a stream in the middle. We
needed to use the thick rubber edpm, which cost a fair bit as did
the pump and filter. See pics below. But we are sooooo happy
with it. We paid for the small pebbles and medium sized rocks
and got the larger rocks from various places/friends for free. So
in all we think we used about 5 tonne of rock! Cleaning them
was a bugger!

Now that the porch is finished we sit there for hours looking at
the fish and it feels like we are on holiday, it is sooooo relaxing

Very nice. Do you know the gallon amount? I'd add more plants int the spring (or now depending on where you live).

Good luck.

Your pond is lovely, so are your fish! I bought some more
koi yesterday and a weeny little red cap. Next to the goldies
the red cap looks like breakfast, must be a bit daunting for the
little bugger!

The kois are lovely. I got two of them from the cheaper
bucket, and initially thought they looked a bit dull, but when
i put them in the pond the black one with white trim turned
blue and he absolutely lovely looking. Cant wait till they are
bigger.

We seem to have a hole in the lining somewhere, so the fun
starts this afternoon trying to find it under 5 tonne of rock!

Sometimes I HATE ponds! We have more plants in both ponds
now, so it looks heaps better, will post brag shots when I
get the next film developed.
