My little sister (Liver Loo) wants to do her science fair project on how fast a snail can move in a minute. She wants to use my snail. I've offered to help her by setting the water at different temperatures and "baiting" my snail with food (to get her to move)
Would this be a good idea?

She won't be allowed to take the snail to school. They won't let the kids bring live animals anymore because someone brought chickens last year.

I don't see how it would hurt anything personally. I think warmer temps cause them to move fster tho. You could test that hypothosis.

As long as the snail stays home and you're there supervising I don't see a problem in it.

I won't change it by too much. Mom told her it wouldn't be a good project. i don't know if she'll still do it. I guess I'll know when the snail comes up missing.

Do video. tape it, then play it at the fair
