Hello everyone I'm setting up a little nano tank and have bought some LR.LFS guy gets the rock for me and of course the pieces i wanted i couldn't have they had mushrooms on them so that rock was $30 so got my rock came home figured no hitchikers but after putting rock in tank i found 1 little mushroom And 1 little baby black guppy looking fish (black clown goby)and last night after lights out was looking found a little crab bout the size of a thumb nail brownish color with two white racing stripes down its back then it ran under a rock.Any one else find any neat hitchers

I don't have a saltwater tank but I have heard of people finding featherdusters and other fish, corals, mushrooms. You can find anything and everything as hitchikers once you get the LR home and in your tank. I want a saltwater sooooooo bad. Testing it out with a GSP which is eventually SW once fully grown at 6 inches, she is half way there. So hopefully in the next couple of yrs.

Wow, a black clown goby!! Thats quite a find. I have had pistol shrimp, tiny brown crabs (possibly emerald crabs), those little 6-legged starfish, feather dusters and sponges come home with me but never any fish. That sounds really cool!

That last shot looks like a type of gorilla crab...they are not reef safe...I would remove him to the sump or to the LFS.... Nice score on the other hitch hikers....

is that the same crab as the one koko had trouble with ? as said before i have found free feather dusters and 6 leg stars but no fish

I don't know...I will say that gorilla crabs are predatory to say the least...they are not reef safe....
