Do the same rules for goldfish apply to Angels? Meaning water changes and such. I know water temp is different. I plan on getting a 40 gallon, so would 4 Angels be ok? Thanks

i am not sure but i think it the rule is different becuase angels are a little bit smaller!

love goldfish
For angelfish you need a tall tank, it has to be well established tank with fake or real plants for the fish to establish territory. Angelfish are a cichlid and can get very territorial and I have even heard stories where the dominant one kills other fish. That is why you need to establish different territories with plants and ornaments for them. In a 40 gallon you would be able to get a pair of angels, they need more water changes than goldfish. They can have bloodworms as one type of food but not often, mostly flake food, they can have problems if given to may bloodworms. If you are thinking of getting other fish for the tank, cories, I have heard are the most compatible because they are on the bottom of the tank and don't bother the angelfish.

Yes 4 angels would be ok but you need depth to the tank as they are tall fish. 18 inches is the minimum for them and you should buy them all at the same time and quite young as well.
