I so happy!! My Emperor 400 filter arrived today!! It came along with my new test kit and some other goodies from Foster and Smith! I am exceited! I will install it on Tuesday when I do a 25% water change on my 29 gallon. I am currently treating Goldie for fungus and the run for the Melafix will be over and I can put carbon back into my tank. I will see if I can get some pics up somewhere for everyone to see my tank and my baby Goldie when I get it all done.

biggrin.gif Congrats on your new Emperor!! I have four of them and I love them-just be sure and unplug them when you do water changes,or you may end up hearing noisy filter's that will drive you crazy until you get them back to snuff. laugh.gif
Good luck! And enjoy.

I got my first one last week and after fighting with it, it was my fault, I got it running! I really, really like it. So I sat down and ordered another one while they are still on sale. smile.gif

I will eventually have them both on my 80 gal. I have the new one on there now with a Penguin 350, and will run them for a few weeks and then switch out the 350 for the Emperor that is coming to me.

yeah.gif And I have so many ideas with what to do with the extra 350. rolleyes.gif

How is the best way to adjust the spray bars? So that the bio-wheels spin the fastest? Or does it matter?
vmlola
smile.gif I just moved the little knob on the side until it was moving them to the speed I wanted!

I read in the manual that the speed did not make a difference in the performance of the filter or bio-wheel!

Aren,t they great! heartpump.gif

I just got my Emperor 280 today. Just installed it to my 29 Gal too. Let's see how much it will improve my water quality.

Within two hours my water was crystal clear!
I love it. When I put the goldfish flakes in it's like a huge snowglobe with the current going in there! The goldfish don't mind, they seem to like chasing their food. It's so funny! I put the brine shrimp in a corner where they float for a little while and the babies pig out! Then in goes the sinking pellets and when they are gone the floating flakes which swirl and move while the fish chase them. Ollie likes to hang out in the feeding corner, but Goldie loves to run her meal down. heartpump.gif
