I have a question! smile.gif

I have a crown pearl, almost one year old, who is in QT. She has been there for about three weeks. Her tank is heated and she is on Metro-Med. She has epsom salt in her water. She is being treated for ???. as she developed a couple small bubble blisters on her side after she was shipped to me. She displayed no other negative behavior or symtoms.

The behavior that I question is the fact that she lays eggs everyday. She started this two days after I got her, but she was in with the fish that was shipped with her. So I thought the other fish had gotten her to lay the eggs. But I took that fish out and she still has been doing it everyday since.

Is this normal? Will it stop, if she is alone? Can I put her with another fish?

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Sounds like she's trying to clear her systems of all the eggs. Let her do it, it needs to be done. It'll stop when she's got no more eggs in there and then u can put her with the others.

smile.gif Thanks d-golem for the info. I was very concerned for her as I have not experienced this before with one of my fish!

Thanks again! yeah.gif

WHAT DO YOUR EGGS LOOK LIKE

Very, small , white balls! No quite clear, but not solid white.

She has actually stopped doing it, finally! I think the last time she did it was Wednesday of this past week!

O.K., never mind my last reply! Yes, they look the way I described them, but I just walked into the kichen, and guess what? Eggs again, and Bubbas just happily swimming around eating them. sad.gif

When will this stop? I could see if she had a mate in there with her, but shes been by herself for a month now.
