Okay. The two snails of mine that mated a month ago finally laid their eggs. Well, to my suprise the eggs are green. ohmy.gif My question is what kind of snail lays green eggs? dry.gif I was expecting pink eggs, thats what I thought they had but nooo, mine are green.

rofl3.gif WHy Nichole,you seem to have yourself either Pomacea Haustrum,or Maculata.You'd have to show pics for me to try & identify them.They are two of the biggest Apple Snails that you can own! laugh.gif Chances are it's a Haustrum,but you never know....Green eggs!!! Heres some pics of the proud parents wink.gif It's so cool. Now I just need to know what to do with the clutch. I'd like to try to hatch it, being my first one and all. Theres an nearby lfs that will take the babies when they get big enough, I just need to find out what type of snail they are in order for that to happen wink.gif .

laugh.gif Those green eggs look really neat! laugh.gif Identifying snails is not always easy for me,so I hope that Donya drops by.I'm on my work week,but if somehow,I get a chance,I'll look into it. laugh.gif

Green eggs are from P. haustrum or P. maculata, but since Maculatas are nearly impossible to find, I'd say they're P. haustrum.

Go to applesnail.net, click on Species, and scroll down to the spot where it has the species next to the egg colours. You can probably look at those pages and identify it.
