The other five were too fast for my camera, they were just tiny blurrs... biggrin.gif
Next time... smile.gif

heartpump.gif They are so cute! Goldie is very colorful!

I go nuts taking pics of my fish, only to find that none or only a few were good enough to use, like you said happened. The fish are either going crazy because they see me and start begging for food or you have one particular fish that is a camera hog and always glued to the glass, looking out of focus because you were focused in on other fish. exactly.gif

Thanks for sharing your pics!
OldHag
Thanks! heartpump.gif

Oh Annette they are looking great!!

Thanks so much for sharing! heartpump.gif
Reef Man
Sweet....nice shots.... smile.gif

Beautiful pics! smile.gif You are so clever to get them to that size! Goldie is sooo pretty and Carpus looks so sweet and a little shy even tho' he's a big one! Thay are adoreable. Wish I had the same success story with fry....Well done Anette! biggrin.gif
OldHag
You're absolutely right about that, Carpus is a little shy and he swims away when I point my finger at him! So this pic is a miracle, I use close up mode without flash, gets close to the glass and use the "three-pics-at-a-time" function and this one turned out good, I yelled of happiness when I saw this little face on the screen!
JenW
Awww Anette, they beautiful heartpump.gif

They look so healthy also biggrin.gif Is there anything you have to do when they're fry to keep them healthy? I'm talking about when they're all transparent little bodies with 2 big eyes (roughly 2 weeks old)...
OldHag
Well, I've learned that water must be perfect, otherwise they'll die... sad.gif And there are a lot of places where a little fry can get stuck, I have saved fry from the filter many times... smile.gif I read about your little fry, good luck! heartpump.gif
JenW
Lol - thanks Anette biggrin.gif I've got him in a little 5 gal and am running a small hang on filter. I ended up putting pantyhose around the bottom of the intake in the hope he won't get stuck although he seems to like hanging over the other side of the tank. There's been a few times i've looked in and thought "huh? he seems to have disappeared!" then his tiny little body will show itself biggrin.gif

I hope he grows like your fry - you must take great care of them heartpump.gif
OldHag
Congrats was that your 2.000nd post??
JenW
Lol - I believe so biggrin.gif
OldHag
I shouldn't talk about my fry, sad.gif now Monster's acting weird, resting at the bottom, swimming only close to the bottom, she doesn't look good... sad.gif

Phew! That's a major relief biggrin.gif I was rooting for her! She still doing OK? heartpump.gif They're all so cute!
OldHag
No, unfortunately not... sad.gif I found her laying on her side... she's dying... cry3.gif
fantailfan1
Oh dear, Annette. What a rough couple of weeks this has been for you. sad.gif

Hope you are doing OK. heartpump.gif
OldHag
In Sweden we say all bad things are three, hopefully my bad luck will change now, this year hasn't started out good... sad.gif
JenW
Oh no Anette sad.gif - it's virtually impossible to treat fry isn't it? Do you think there's any chance she may pull through?
OldHag
My monster fry is dead. cry3.gif Sorrow and sadness. That was a special fry, with the double tail, she was the biggest of my fry until Carpus outgrow her. There were 2 monster fry from the beginning, the first one I killed with bad water quality, the fry tank weren't cycled then... well now she has joined her brothers/sisters... sad.gif I think it's almost impossible to treat fry... don't know what was wrong, hope the others will keep on their healthy lives... they look so good...
Devs
sad.gif I'm very sorry to hear that Anette.Being that everyone else is doing so well,Monster must have had internal probs that just couldn't be seen.Know that you did your best,& good luck with the other's.They look so cute. smile.gif
JenW
Aww, i'm sorry Anette heartpump.gif I hope your other guys continue to thrive, they're such lookers heartpump.gif
OldHag
Yes I buried her next to Maxi cry3.gif sad.gif I think so to, there was something wrong from the beginning. I will keep all six to my self and hope they grow big, there is room enough in the pond.
OldHag
Some new pics, this is Mera, Goldie and the reflection of Carpus!

Awww - too cute and they look so very healthy, which is good news heartpump.gif

How many cms would they be now Anette? And about how old? My tub fry is still a speck of a little fella although he's growing well - no more than 1cm tip to tail and i'm trying to figure his rate of growth based on your little guys biggrin.gif I'm totally clueless with fry. Also, when did you start to feed them solid food?

PS. sorry for all the questions smile.gif
OldHag
Hi! Carpus, the biggest and fattest biggrin.gif is 4 cm from tip to tailfin, the others just a bit smaller. They will be 8 months the last of march. They eat TetraMin Baby Powder Food, but they can also eat goldfish flakes! They don't grow rapidly, but when I look at old pics I realize how much they have grown... biggrin.gif
JenW
Lol - thanks Anette biggrin.gif

I'm so glad your little guys are looking so well not to mention just too darn cute biggrin.gif
OldHag
Yes they are, it's difficult to feed them cause I always get stuck there laugh.gifI love looking at them when they're chasing food... They have little personalitys already, Goldie is the kindest and always comes to greet me, but they all comes to the glass and dances in the morning at breakfast time...
