Any fancies is compatible with the moor. Preferably don't put fast swimming goldfish such as comet, commons & shubunkins cos the moor won't be able to compete for the food.
Moors tend to have poorer eyesight than other fish, so more care might have to be taken in feeding him.

:
i have my moor with fancies, and they get along just fine
Although, i would suggest if you get one, try investing in a feeding dish... it makes it a lot easier for the moor to see where the food is coming from, and they dont have to compete as much

Thanks she is alright feeding on her own she finds the food on the floor of the tank. Yes I think if she is in with another fish say a normal fantail then yes I will have to watch her.

I thought a Black Moor was a fancy goldfish? Mine (Raven) is in with my giant fantail and my little mutt of a fish.

I consider my Moor's as fancy goldfish for sure.

I too think that Moor's can be kept along with other fancy's including Fantails, but I am really considering setting up their own tank . I worry that they'll get in the way of my agressive eater,My big female Calico Oranda-who accidently took an eye off of a small Lionhead as it was going for food. I have to admit that the tank was overcrowded at the time because they were all in the Q-tank,and that may have made it "an accident waiting to happen",because there wasn't ample room at the time.

My little moor eye sight isnt that bad because her eyes are more forward looking. There is no way she could compete with my common goldfish for food though. My goldfish are currently snacking on peas at the moment.

Hi
Where can you buy a feeding dish and what does one look like, I have problems feeding mine. I wouldn't mind purchasing one of those.

I don't know where to buy one but I use the cover of my wardley goldfish flakes as as feeding dish.
