Hi i was told when feeding frozen food to give one cube (well half of the block, 2 cubes per piece) to my fish. As soon as i'd dropped it in i thought it looked too much but now 2 hours later my fish both have big bellies.
Is this going to cause big problems and what is the correct amount for 2 fish averaging 2 inches each?

2-inch fish is still small, and if it seems that u gave them too much, then u gave them too much. Try giving them half a cube and see what happens.

I tried that on todays feeding and it seemed much better, i just glanced at your age thing and im guessing its 18....or possibly 24 but i reckon the former rather than the latter

That's good to hear. I myself give a trio of 3-4 inch long goldies only 1 cube

18 & 24 is only applicable if I say "divisible by 1, 2 AND 3" mine is "divisible by 1, 2 OR 3" hehehe but ur pretty close

I think it's kinda funny when people are all creative when filling in their age in the "age" blank but then they put their birth date in their profile.

So do ya want us to know how old ya are or not? Not that it really makes much of a difference how old you are--especially on this site. I can name LOTS of people on this site that are waaay younger (or the same age or older, like I said, it doesn't really seem to matter) than I am but know a ton more about goldies than I do. d_golem for example!

btw..the belly thing...I wonder if that is why my fish get big bellies after I feed them? They never used to with the flakes, but they do with the pellets. Maybe it is overfeeding...I dont really know....How can I tell if Im overfeeding my fish when they are ALWAYS hungry? LOL

i actually came on here to query it, the thing is i get 2 cubes in one thing so if i unfreeze it i unfreeze 2 cubes. I feed about half a cube a go and they still get big bellies but what do i do? feed them just a little and let the rest go off? does it go off? it really starts to stink after a couple of days will that harm my fish?
