Ok, so I bought some teeny tiny comets from a 'feeder' tank about five months ago. Three of 'em survived and as of now they're healthy. Only thing is, one of the (I think) males is chasing a bigger fish (I think female) around like crazy. His 'nose' is pressed right against her anal fin the entire time. They'll do this for a few minutes, she'll get a burst of speeed and outswim him for a second or two, then he loses interest. Within minutes they're at it again.

Aren't these fish too young to be breeding??

I hope I don't need a tank divider.

I don't think they're old enough to be spawning though. My fantails are about 8-9 months old and they sometimes do the chasing thingy, but I think it's like "mock" spawning, u know? Just to practice so when it's time for the real thing they won't get nervous

If this post keeps heading in this direction... The teeny tiny comets are going to be asking for a cigarette.
