when i first saw this fish at a pet store i wanted to buy it immediately!!! they are sooo cool looking!!! biggrin.gif however, after doing some research i decided otherwise! read the following link for more information about this species...

in my opinion the educated decision here would be not to get one... especially since they are an endangered species! cry3.gif

The Chinese high-fin loach is not endangered... it's been successfully farmed in Asia in large numbers. Endangered in the wild maybe. The only valid argument about getting them is that they become 2 feet long and they lose their attractive coloration eventually. They're more suited as pond fish.

smile.gif Man yu's correct, they aren't fit for any normal range aquarium. They are adorable when they're small, but as they become adults, they lose their stripe and become rather drab looking.I actually thought the adults were kind of ugly. ignore.gif
