My fry are 2 months old now and the Hikari First Bites are so small. I was wondering if there are other things I can feed them along with the Baby Brine Shrimp.

I saw Hikari Goldfish which are supposed to be for baby goldfish. It's a sinking pellet. Anyone used these?

Other suggestions for 2 month old fry--3/4 to 1" long?

What about crushing up ProGold? I would think that the Hikari Goldfish might be better since it's formulated for babies though?

A lot of people crush up the Progold actually - it is very good for the little fry. I haven't tried Hikari goldfish yet, but if it is designated for small goldfish, you can try it out. You might need to crush that one as well though.
You can always start your little guys on gel food, and work the First Bites in it. Gel food is so easily breakable, and my small guys always loved it... smile.gif

OK thanks Andrea!

I think I may try the HIkari food jsut to see what it's like. I think it said it was Mini pellets. Other wise I'll crush up the ProGold, maybe even make some gel food. Hungry.gif

My fry are at 1 month and i have already started them used to what i feed the adults: Marineland Labs: BioBlend Goldfish.

They really really like it alot and they will munch on it like they do the wardley Wafers i put in. Of course at 1 month they are still getting live food. they also have shows some tastes towards frozen daphnia and bloodworms. but the bloodworms have to be cut up smaller.

My 3.5 month old fry has been happy with pretty much the same selection as my 1 month olds but minus the brine shrimp.

They are all very healthy and with really good colouring smile.gif
