Hi, I was reading some of the threads on keeping minnows with Fancy goldies and was jsut wondering a couple of things, hope there not too obvious

Are minnows ok with plastic plants like fancies or do they need to have live plants?

Can they tolerate salt (in case goldies need salting for treatment or tonic)

Is it best to try and feed them a seperately from the goldies, like crumbled flakes or there own diet?

Is there any specific rule of thumb on stocking?

I'm thinking of getting a larger tank soon so I'm just trying to plan what I would like to do, I like the idea of a few minnows in the tank - everyone seesm to like them on here, also they seem like really good tank mates for fancies.
Thankyou!
sandy
The minnows are fine with plastic plants and eat the same food as goldfish. When salting they can take the salt but I wouldnt have it over .2% without taking them out.
You should have at least 4 white clouds if you are planning on those and they will be fine as long as the tank is at least 20 gallons.
