Well the happy news is as of this morning all my fry are still alive. The sad news is my males are worse, and now Fillet is sick as well ill.gif . Their fins are clammped shut and are stiff. Caviar who has clear fins has red streaks in his. At first I thought maybe the ammonia or nitrates were high but all the levels were within normal range. All 4 males who are normally in a divided tank are now in seperate containers which I have sitting in a 1/2 filled 10 gallon with a heater. Since the males are kept together it makes me think something is spreading from one to another.

I've had Bettas for years now and I've never had anything like this happen. I hate not knowing what is going on.

I have a question, do they look "fairly" normal, but sluggish with stiff fins? if so, I have lost a few males to something like this, and cant find out what it is! I had an outbreak and had 4 boys down with it, and treated them all differently (before had lost 2 to it) tried anti bacterial, true fungal, parasitical, EVERYTHING! someone said it "had" to be colamnurus, but it wasnt.. I have seen that, and my outbreak wasnt it...

if yours is different, err.. I have no idea. maybe, (if you can find it) try betta max?

Pimafix or triple sulphur? If there's streaky fins it may be a bacterial blood poisioning. They can recover from it tho.

Magickzzl, yes it's weird. It's almost like their fins are petrified. They look like their about to keel over at any minute but are acting normal. They are eating fine, Fillet keeps trying to jump out of his jar when I check on him and Caviar has built a bubble nest.

Thanks everyone, I'll try some of your suggestions.
