ok, this past fall my mom lost a Gambusia she had during birth, and we saved one baby... She thought it was lonely, so I found two little unknown babies in our tanks at work and poped them in with it, the three of the are doing well, but growing slow, because its kinda cold-

they live with some black mystery snail babies biggrin.gif one of the babies ended up being a mollie, the other is a platy, sot heir a funny trio, and getting along good.

So about 2 weeks ago, one of my "thought to be steril" mollies gave birth! The gobies in that tank ate most (which is good, because Im already overstocked, and needing a bigger tank!) but Two have survived and are doing well-

Aww :3

Hey Magick did you hear I tried to rescue a mosquito fish recently? It was a covert operation and everything, but she didn't make it sad.gif

Aww, no Kissy! I havnt been around! Im sorry you lost her.. I lost my little guys mamma also, poor thing. she was a rescue, the lone survivor from when some PETA freak decided to poisen our common tank at work, because we were "cruel"

we dont even carry gambusia, she must have hitchhiked in!

Weird peta people...that story is so contradicting! Mine is also...The Ecology Club/Class Teacher had her in a jar full of sand and disgusting water with a dead plant. I get the feeling she was trying to show the relationship between plants and fish in the aquatic enviroment o.O I sneeked her out in a little dixi cup and named her Dixi smile.gif I have her next year for AP enviromental science so maybe I can teach her a thing or two smile.gif

I get the feeling that gambusia are a hard find...the only ones I found for sale around here were at mosquito control venders or only available for mosquito control venders. I wonder where the teacher got Dixi?

Aww, that's so mean!!! PETA is really doing more harm than good sad.gif A few months back on the news they were apparently getting sued or something for "mental damages" because they told little kids to keep their pets away from their dads or he'll kill them! *sigh* They need to either shut down or start changing things around -_-

[edit: Oh, congrads on the babies! smile.gif]
