Okay so I FINALLY have my 29 gallon!! And it came with a heater... what temperature should I set it to? And do I have to let it run for 24 hours before I put the fish in? I'd like to get t hem in tonight if I can, because I don't have a lot of room in my apartment to put the 15 gallon and the quarantine while the big tank is set up, but if I have to I will. Thanks for any info biggrin.gif

well i'm sure most people would recommend cycling the tank first before putting in your babies.. this is probably the best way to reduce the amount of stress they have to go through. i would think the heater should be set at whatever temperature your previous tank water is, so as to also reduce stress and ensure a more complication free transfer. smile.gif so basically, if you can handle the wait, it's best to get the tank all set up and ready for the fish before putting them in. biggrin.gif
