I woke this morning to find my big old snail, Frank, whom I got from Andy earlier this year, had passed away cry2.gif:

Im very curious, however...his body was incredibly swollen, and there was a huge 'bubble' sticking out of his shell. I dont know how else to describe it, it looked like some part of him got inflated and was sticking outo f his shell. ANyone know what this is? sad.gif I thought water params, right away, since he was swollen, but i checked, and all is fine except nitrAtes were a bit higher then what I like to see, and all my others are jsut fine munching their cukes...

sad.gif Aww man Christi, that sucks..RIP -poor Frank...Usually swelling is a sign of water quality issues, but yours seems to have been fine. Do you actually know how old Frank was Hun? Maybe it was just his time? Regardless,I'm sorry. heartpump.gif

Ive had frank for about 6 or 8 months, and andy had him for a few years before that i believe...so he was pretty old and had some stress, with his falls and being shipped....never seemed to bother him any other time though, never ran outta energy to do the wild thing with my ladies :x

poor old guy.. cry2.gif: heck, i ended up being late for school this morning cuz i couldnt pull myself toghethr...felt real dumb trying to explain being late over a snail....
