Well today, I visited an lfs outside my area which stocked the Aq pharmaceutical freshwater master test kit. Sick to death of my neutrafin drops and insoluable dry tabs, I got it.
But, the surprise was the PH came out at only 7.4 (tank and tap) compared to both the other kits which had readings of around 8.0 - 8.2. Hmmmm dry.gif It seems quite a gap. Also the GH is way high as London is built on limestone so I would have expected the PH to be a little higher based on that, too.
Would you guys rely on the Aq P above the others?

Ive only ever used the nutrafin and esha test strips. I didnt like the nutrafin at all.

biggrin.gif Hi Pixie, the only test kit that I really use on a regular basis, has been the Aq.pharmaceutical Test Kit. I've been pleased with them, but they're only one of two that I 've tried other than test strips.

Thanks, oh faithful ones exactly.gif I'll stick with my new kit although the discrepancy between PH values kinda bugs me......

blink.gif Well heck, that would freak me out a little bit too! Just for peace of mind, check the expiration on your new Test Kit. Worse come to worse, you could always take a reading-then take a sample to the LFS,and see if it comes close enough to what you got.---Just a thought... rolleyes.gif
