I am planning to mix up some gel food tomorrow and I want to make enough to freeze. Do you think it would work to pour the food into ice cube trays and freeze it that way? i was thinking the trays would take up less freezer space than a big ole cake pan and the servings would be equal. What do y'all think?

What you need to do is first regrigerate it so it sets. Then you freeze it. So...you can refrigerate it in the ice cube trays. Once it sets, pull them out and freeze them in the trays. When they're frozen you can then take them out of the trays and place into freezer storage bags. That takes up less space. Take out the cubes when you need em, thaw em, and feed!

I hope your fishies love em!

Ahhh yes that makes a lot of sense! I will use a freezer bag. Thanks Chico!
