I've been wanting a weather loach for a while but can't seem to find out how much space they need. Are they dirty or not? I love how they zip around the tank like maniacs!
I'm trying to calculate how many fish I can have in my 180 litre. I currently have 2 fancy GF and a snail and I'd love 2 more GF and a loach. Maybe this might be stretching it?
If anyone knows about loaches I'd love to hear from them

Loaches are able to get up to 8 inches long.I've never seen one that long myself.Mine are maybe 4 or 5. 180 works out close to what? 40 gals? 4 Goldies and a snail sound pretty full to me,but truthfully,if you have good filtration,and you keep up with your water changes etc.,I think you could squeeze to Dojo's in the tank. I don't think that they're messy fish at all,and I'd personally go for it.

I think 180 is around 46/7 US gals and 40 UK. Four fancies make 40 (US) + 2.5 for Big Bertha which leaves 3/4 over. So, if the loach isn't too dirty I guess he'll just fit? Eeeeeee!
Do you think he'd bother the snail or the others as he's such a maniac?

I think you can get away with a pair of them(They really don't like going solo)I've never seen my Dojos bother anone, well....except when Gizmo was trying to pull food out of one of the Goldies mouth's!
