Hi, one of my lionheads is about to spawn, what will happen if;

1) There is no single male fish in the tank, will she lay the eggs out?

2) There is a male fish but he's not making any chase to the female fish. Similarly, will she lay the eggs out?

Hope someone to enlighten me.

well, i dont think she will lay if there is no male in the tank and if he isnt chasing. if you do want them to spawn you have to have males and females with plants and you can change the temp of the water to trigger it, just in case you want to know!
