Hi there,

I am getting my friends fishies and would like to know from all you fabulously knowledgeable people out there *wink* :

what kind of filtration do I need for 2 tetras/1 pleco and 1 catfish in a 10 gallon?

I have golds and lots of filtration. Am I right in thinking that the above fishies need less filtration as they are not as messy?

Thanks as always!

yep, less filtration is ok, maybe 4 to 6 times turn over an hour (as opposed to goldies 10).

you might also want to look into getting a 50w heater and a thermometer as well.

good luck!

Wow, ok.

Well, the neons and catfish may not make it, still hoping smile.gif
The pleco seem ok, made it into the mini-tank.

I do have another heater, thermometer and a an extra whisper filter so, I'll put those in there too. (From previous attempt at rescuing a telescope and fancy tail!)

thanks!

Hi!

the catfish and neons will be fine in a 10g. both preffer to be in groups, so maybe in time you could get at least 2 more of each?

the pleco..... what kind is it? depending on species i would be concerned about having it in a 10gal. ?

and of course as mentioned already... heater, thermometer, filter. You may also like a couple of good hiding places for the cory & plec.

hope they are all okay.... smile.gif
