We've had this 6" rope fish for about 5 days now and earlier we found it behind the tank on the floor. I picked it up and immedietly put it back into the water. He swam for a bit but now he's just floating at the top. He is still breathing. Is there anything I can do for him? sad.gif

put him in a different bowl and then put an airstone in there and then cover it and make it cool and dark! that is how a betta healed that type of accident!
Ponderosa Power
Who does he share the tank with? Do his tank mates bother him at all? Unless he is being bothered, I'd leave him where he is to reduce stress. Turn off the lights in the tank and room to help him relax a little. Not much else you can do really except make sure that the water params are perfect sad.gif

He was alone. The betta I had in there died this morning. He must have got out of the hole by the filter. I did put him in a tub with his log and hes in a dark room now. Cross your fingers!!

Maybe the tank isnt big enough??
All eel type fish can leave a tank to try and find new water, heres a bit about the type you have.
