Hi everyone,

Okay, day 2, ammo reads 4/5ppm.
According to all I've read, I am to feed the tank same amount of ammo that I've used to get to 4/5ppm and bacteria should be eating BUT...

Since I am still at 4/5ppm this morning, should I add more ammo? I'm feelin like I should wait till the reading drops a tad.

Advice? I really want to do this right for my fishie fellows heartpump.gif

Once you get the tank's ammonia reading to 4-5, don't add more ammonia til it's down to 0. The ammonia feeds the ammonia processing bacteria that turn ammonia into nitrite.

Once the ammonia is down to zero then you "feed" your tank ammonia so they have something to "eat". Those biobugs then continue to turn the ammonia into nitrite. There is another set of biobugs that turn the nitrites into nitrates.

Make sense?

Yup, just re-read Koko's fishless cycle instructions, and there it is in capitol letters!

Thanks again!
