My LFS had a sale on a 37 gallon Eclipse tank and stand set that I just couldn't pass up. I've heard a lot of good things about the Eclipse bio-wheel filtration system and looking forward in giving it a try. biggrin.gif

I'm planning on putting gavel at the bottom of this tank and was wondering if I should include an underground filter for this tank as well. I've heard that the UGF is recommended when adding gravel to a tank.

If you have any experience with this type of set-up, your experience and stories are appreciated!

You don't need an UGF, but do be sure to keep the gravel to a minimum (1/2 inch or less) to avoid problems.
