Well heres what happened....I was shopping for a b-day present for my mom and on my way out I just happened(uh, huh ) to go past the pet department and there she was. She was all by herself, the last one. She was sitting at the bottom of her cup with her fins all clamped shut and her water was so nasty so I just couldn't leave her. She's my first female Betta. I've named her Narcissa.

Thanks everyone! It's amazing what a difference 24 hours can make, she looks so much better! She got a tasty treat of frozen blood worms this morning. She stalks her food, I've never seen a betta do that. She hides behind the plants watching me feed and then swims slowly up to her snack, attacks it and then swims off and hides again, it's really funny.

And yes, I'm a huge Harry Potter fan.

What a cutie! I love female bettas. They're so feisty. It's sad that they're so underrated because they're much more beautiful and interesting than a lot of other fish, just not as fancy looking as the boys. Your boys are gorgeous too! Oh and make sure you keep that girl's tank tightly covered. They are unbelievable jumpers!
