I'm going to make some filters and I was going to use some super glue gel. Does anyone know if it's okay to use in my filter basket after it has cured? or will it be toxic to the fish?

I don't know if its ok for a filter but i will tell you what i know.
Super glue it was originality invented to be a bio-degradable stitch for soldiers on the front lines of the Vietnam war, so i don't know it might corrode after awhile
(I'm full of useless information). lol

Yep! Superglue is 100% non-toxic once it has completely dried.

In fact, they use it in saltwater tanks to attach pieces of coral.....
Hope this helps!

I'm kind of stealing a topic, but what about glue from a hot glue gun?

Glue from a hot glue gun, while safe for use in aquatic environments, doesn't hold very well because of the ability of water to permeate any little crack or cranny. In short, it works, but super glue is better......

Superglue is perfectly safe. I used it on a 10 gallon tank because the sealant was coming off the bottom corner. I glued it a few years back and it is still in use at my grandma's house for her tropical tank right now as we speak.

Naahh. Once it is dry and if you use the kind that has no fumes, you are fine.

There is a catalyst that dries the super glue immediately. You can buy it at a beauty supply store, like Sally's it's called hurry up.
