White Clouds!
Both enjoy the same temps, the darting mennows add a lot of movement - and you can get a mix of gold and regular White clouds to give colors

I am so glad you posted this!!!
I think they are one of the most underated aquarium fish in the world.
They're hardy as anything else and beautiful.

I agree. I love white clouds, and if you have fry, they are the most astonishing blue colour before they mature

Ditto on the white clouds! They are a great little active fish.
I took a chance with putting 8 in my tank with 2 of my goldies being @ 3". All but the 2 smallest ones are still with us. Thay are a hoot to watch and have grown well.

I have admired the pearl danios, but never owned any. I really should buy a few to join my white clouds and zebras

My boss has white clouds, she's only ever kept them in a bowl and since springtime they have been spawning like crazy, every couple of days there are more eggs, -it's like they produce their own food! lol, nah, I had to lend her another tank to grown out all the babies,,, also got her some java moss for the babies to hide from the parents, she's now got heaps of white clouds.
I can't believe it, they're so hardy, they spawned in a BOWL!!!!

What kind of care do they need? Whats a good number to get? Will they eat the same thing as goldies? Sorry for all the questions, I'm thinking of getting some once my tank is done cycling...I just want to know a bit more about them before I buy some

They like to be kept in groups of six or more. They eat most anything, but tend to feed off of the surface or near the top of the tank. I feed them flakes and small pellets and they also like to catch bits of pea when I put that into the tank for the goldfish.
Very easy to care for. Room temperature water is fine for them.
