This is Rocky and Spice (aka "Little Momma)

Looking at the babies,it seems as though some are brown,some are more yellow like Dad. From what I've read,normal fry amounts for these guys average about 60 give or take some.These little guys were all over the place so I really had a hard time counting.45 were in a seperate container when I gave up. Looks like at least a hundred

So anyway,Come Spring Erika and Toothy,you may be getting a selection!

How many did you get that survived from the last batch? and I hope theres somewhere for all those babies to go to when they are big enough to leave home.

I broke down some tanks when I moved.I may have to start putting them up again.Baby Bristles are supposed to be real sensitive,but these guys do really well in my tanks Sandy. I'll tell you the truth,not too many survived the temp freeze when I was moving and offhand I'm not sure how many there are. Too many hiding places!

Wish I lived near you, I would love a couple of male gold bristlies for my two females.

Oh that is so cool! I want a bristle but I never seem to have enough money to buy one. Theres only one LFS near me that sells them and they are terribly expensive

Barb,I lost over a hundred of my bigger babies when I was moving.It was an awful thing that I still find hard to talk about.I did manage to keep some of the originals alive thank goodness. As for you guys that can't find them,we'll see how many make it to Spring.Maybe we can work something out.I am a nervous wreck when it comes to mailing fish(plus I just seem to get sooooooooo attached! )
