Sidneys had finrot on and off since i got him, and after a period without a heater most of his tail disapeared, well hes been heated for nearly 2 months now, he still had it, but i thought he still had it yesterday but on closer inspection in a different tank it seems his tail has just stopped rotting and healed as it was.. i think, i cant really tell. will it grow back, coz right now its a complete mess sad.gif

Tail growth is really really slow to grow after finrot has taken hold. As long as its now healthy looking he should have growth starting after a couple of months.

I think my Red will look the same way!! His tail is slowly growing back - you can tell the regrowth, it starts off almost clear and then takes color. Really the only way I can tell if he is getting bigger is by comparing new pictures to older ones.

Yea it was that which made me think he was still rotting as its sort of red and then clear at the very edge, and theres no light on the tank in a dim corner so i couldnt really see.. smile.gif On closer inspection earlier his tail does seem bigger, i think he started re growing a while ago!
