Hi guys,

Last night we set up our brand new 55G tank and My HUbby found this huge piece of quartz in our garden. So he washed it real good and then we added it into the centre of our tank.

We're doing a fishless cycle smile.gif so I just want to check that this rock is ok. I lnow there are certain rocks etc that you shouldnt add coz they mess with the pH....my pH is usually around 8.0-8.4 and my goldies in other tanks have been ok.

SO will this Quartz hurt???? I have four live plants right now - hoping always that they live!

Here's apicture of it....its the HUGE white rock in the centre
