Hi Guys! I'm new to this excellent site so please be gentle with me!

I wanna ask about feeding cucumber to fancies.
I heard this is good fresh food treat and I wondered if anyone had any problems with it with there fish.
Is it Ok for digestion/swimbladder probs? I presume you remove the green skin and chop into little chunks first!
It's mostly water so I'm guessing it won't cause any problems, is it any good for fishies? Thanks guys

smile.gif I cut my cukes into slices, and cook until semi-soft,that way the Goldies have an easier time eating it,and the cuke will float to the bottom. They all go crazy, but I'll tell you that when it comes to the Veggies,my Moor's turn into Pit Bulls! laugh.gif They grab a hold of that cuke, and just start shaking the heck out of it! rofl3.gif

Thanks guys, very interesting, tried with ollie and bumble today but they did'nt like it at all - in fact they found the little green lumps a bit scary - they do look a flourescent in the water I must say so I don't blame them!

Persimmon
Slice it thin, pop out the seeds and quickly nook in a lttle water to soften. You can then cut it up in tiny bits, or if it is real soft, thy should be able to tear it easily. smile.gif
