Check your parameters. Bad water quality can lead to colour change.

If your fish is in bad general condition, its color will dull (including the wen). I wouldn't worry too much (unless other symptoms are present). Feed Hikari Oranda Gold... At Petsmart, it's cheaper per ounce than ColorFin, and has better ingredients (First two ingredients: Shrimp meal, cuttlefish meal, Color enhancers: cartenoid, choline chloride, Crude Protein: min 45% Crude fat: min 8% Crude Fiber: max 5%, Moisture: max 10% Ash: max 12%). Bettas love this stuff more than any betta food, so if you have bettas, get this stuff.

Hey, "jace the mace," why did you mention me? Hikari Oranda Gold is a great product. It comes in pellets, and the fish love it. You should change your water as Rachel said, and if you hae lights, turn them on. The fish may develop other symptoms, so keep a close watch on it.
