This actually happened Wednesday, but I can't seem to figure out why Osric had a poop bigger than him! It wasn't really that big, but I cleaned his tank and put him back in. He acted a little funny so I sat and watched him. At first I thought "Maybe he's constipated" because he was kinda fat, so I made a mental note to fast him a couple days and feed a pea. So, he then swam in two huge circles and sat on the bottom. I looked closer at him and I thought his guts were coming out! He then swam up and pooped this huge blob out! I thought "There's no way that that is poop!" But it came out the same spot.
He looks thinner and doesn't seem to be affected by his huge poop.

Was he constipated or was he holding it to 'christen' his clean house? They all know when cleaning day is because they seem to poop twice as much the day before.

Sounds to me like he was constipated. Will he eat peas? I try to give mine a bit of cooked pea every week.

I'm glad he is OK smile.gif

I don' tknow if he'll eat peas. I'll try though. Osric is pretty finiky.

Squash the centre of the pea so that it is mushy and try to stick a bit on the end of your finger and hold it in front of his nose at the surface of the water. See if he will eat it. That is how I feed my bettas peas biggrin.gif
