Okay, this weekend I decided to try makeing gel food for my fishies. They love it and I hate the smell. wink.gif

This is what I used.

Sardines
Tuna
Shrimp
Green Pepper
spinach
peas
a little carrots
a little corn
romaine lettuce
a can of flake food

It made a ton of food and I got to test it out on my pond fish seeming that I made it at home and the intended recipiants of the food are in my college dorm.

I know fish talk to each other some how. When I first put the food in to the tank all five pond goldies ignored it. I was getting kind of sad, all that work and they won't even try it sad.gif
Well, one of them must have sensed my anguish because not a moment later he gulped one of the bigger pieces biggrin.gif After he ate the piece the other fish all of a sudden attacked the food and it was all gone in a matter of seconds ohmy.gif I was thrilled that they liked it.

My fish in the dorm just dove into it, I guess because I went away for two days and they didn't have any food so they were super hungry.

But anywho, my fish loooove the gel food. The pond fish liked it so much that my mom decided she would give them some once in a while in addition to thier sticks. biggrin.gif

biggrin.gif Hey well done, I had my first go this week sounds like your was alot more interesting than mine. Stuck to just veggies and Spirulina.
They wer a little confused at first as they normally have floating pellets so kept at the top after id put it in.
They soon found the bits at the bottom and I was releived to see them eat it. I thought they didn't like my cooking.

I love the gel food, cheap, easy, convenient, and of course my fish loves it. They get a all different nutrients. Your recipe sounds great and is pretty similar to mine smile.gif
