hello eveyone~
I have read some threads on heater use but didn't see anything on particular brands or types.
For winter I bought a $10 PennPlax for my 10 gallon to keep it at 68-70.
BUT mad.gif I hate it!~ It seemed simple enough, but all I have to do is press on it and it comes on, when I turn it I have to turn it way 'high' to get it to come on and then I don't trust it. It is no longer in the tank dry.gif

I'm willing to spend some $$$ to get something reliable and easy to use.
I'm in Atlanta and my old apartment varies a lot in temp. Fishies do great at 68-70, I keep the house at 68 (all year round if I can help it!).

Looking to get 29 gallon in a few weeks - maybe something that could work for up to that size?

I have 1 shubunkin, 1 ryokin and 1 comet with fancy tail smile.gif

cool.gif I have a Titainium (I think that's the way to spell it?) heater, I forget who makes them but they are guaranteed unbreakable. They are a little pricey, but I have had mine for 5 yrs so far with out a problem. Good luck. P.S. It's a 300W.

smile.gif Thanks for the info - I'll check into that. Do different heaters work differently? The one I had was really fundamental.

Thanks,

Here's what you want:

The 200 watt will be more than enough for your future 29 gallon tank. I've got this brand in all my tanks and have had no problems. smile.gif Once you have the desired temp with your heater, put a piece of tape over the red dial. This will prevent accidental temp fluxuations. dry.gif
